What you’ve been using
Soundware lets you measure your hearing with a speech-in-noise test and a tone test, record how sound sensitivity and tinnitus affect you, and watch those results change over time. Everything you record stays yours.
It also includes an interactive walkthrough of how hearing actually works, from the outer ear through to the cochlea, and what happens inside it when sound gets loud.
The science behind it
Sound and hearing are two different branches of science. Sound is studied in physics by acoustic scientists, who focus on technology that amplifies, changes, or blocks sound. Hearing happens in the cochlea, the inner ear, and is studied by biologists, auditory physiologists, and neuroscientists. That’s us.
